Viviscal vs Hairfinity: How to Make the Right Choice

There are thousands of hair fall treatment products available with your nearby pharmacy, supermarket, as well as with almost all the online shopping websites. Surprisingly, most of them are doing good in their business no matter how effective they are. This is because hair fall has become almost everyone’s problem. We do not hesitate to experiment with various oils, shampoos, magic pills, serums, etc. But, you will be surprised to know that a lot of these anti hair fall products do nothing and some even cause severe side reactions. However, there are some products that are clinically proven to regrow the fallen hair as well as prevent hair fall. Although they are expensive, they are worth trying. Two such products are Viviscal and Hairfinity. Both these products are extremely effective and their effectiveness is clinically proven. However, both of them are made of their own ‘proprietary blend’ of ingredients and therefore, both of them have their own pros and cons. In this blog, we will discuss viviscal vs hairfinity in detail. First, let’s have a look at their ingredients.

Viviscal vs Hairfinity: Ingredients

The primary component of Viviscal is AminoMar, an amino acid complex derived from marine life, specifically sharks. AminoMar was discovered in 1980s by a Scandinavian researcher who wanted to find out the reason why the people of Arctic region manage to have thick, gorgeous hair even though they live in one of the harshest climates. The research team concluded that their high-protein diet helps maintain their hair health. They then identified AminoMar marine protein complex, which is the main ingredient of viviscal. Although the AminoMar is extracted from shark, the manufacturer has stated that no sharks are directly harmed for it. They use the byproducts of the fishing industry to extract the amino acids. Moreover, the marine life used for extracting do not belong to endangered species. Other than AminoMar, viviscal also contains Vitamin C, biotin, Vitamin A, and Niacin.

The main ingredient of Hairfinity is Capilsana, which is again an amino acid complex. It contains 18 types of amino acids, which are essential for overall general wellbeing as well as for hair growth. Capilsana is a specially blended formula that helps boost the production of collagen and keratin protein, which are the building blocks of hair and skin. The Hairfinity pills also contain silica, MSM, Biotin, Niacin, Vitamin C and A, all of which are essential for healthy hair growth. Biotin prevents hair dryness and promotes hair regrowth. It also increases the elasticity of the strands. Niacin promotes the blood circulation to the scalp, thereby speeding up the process of growth. All these ingredients are derived from natural sources and therefore, the manufacturer claims that Hairfinity is 100% natural and safe.

As obvious, both Viviscal and Hairfinity are dietary supplements formulated to fill in the nutritional gaps, thereby promoting hair growth. Both of them are made of natural ingredients. However, when it comes to viviscal vs hairfinity, both contain amino acids. But, viviscal contains marine protein, whereas hairfinity contains protein derived from plants.

Hairfinity vs Viviscal: Effectiveness

Both Hairfinity and Viviscal are known to be effective and safe. Hairfinity has received four star rating on Amazon, with more than 4630 customer reviews. This itself proves that the product works, provided you use it strictly according to the manufacturer’s instructions. The manufacturer of Hairfinity, Brock Beauty Inc., had conducted an independent study to evaluate the efficiency of their product. However, this study is not very reliable. Although the results are positive, there are a lot of flaws in the study, which is why we would not like to rely on it. (1) Instead, we are recommending hairfinity based on its Amazon reviews.

Viviscal, on the other hand, has been selling its products directly through its own website, which is why there is not much information about it on Amazon. Still, it has received 4.6 star rating there, which proves that it is effective enough for people who are suffering from excessive hair loss. Unlike Hairfinity, there are almost 7 case studies available that prove the effectiveness of Viviscal. These studies have been conducted independently by researchers and have concluded that using viviscal is more effective than placebo. Viviscal vs Hairfinity: Side Effects

The manufacture of both these hair loss products claim that their products are completely safe for use, but the users have reported some minor side effects. Thankfully, the side effects are temporary and they will soon go away on their own when the body has adjusted itself to the new dose of nutrients that it will receive from the pills. Here are the side effects that you should be aware of before buying them.

Hairfinity Side Effects:

  • Excessive hair fall during the first few weeks of starting the pills. This happens because the pills try to remove all the unhealthy hair and make space for new hair follicles.
  • Like any other nutritional supplement, hairfinity can also cause digestive issues such as bloating, stomach ache, constipation, and diarrhea. As mentioned, this is just a temporary reaction.
  • It can cause frequent urination during the first few days. So, make sure you keep yourself hydrated and let the body excrete out the buildup.
  • It will increase your appetite, which is a good thing because you will get a lot of opportunity to eat healthy food.
  • Some people have reported that they are experienced an improvement in their sex drive. This also shouldn’t be listed as a side effect but we have still listed it here, so you know what you could expect.

Viviscal Side Effects:

  • Viviscal is rich in vitamin C. As clinically proven, excessive amount of vitamin C can cause skeletal problems and joint pain. So, if you do not take it in the recommended quantity, you could suffer from joint stiffness. Thankfully, the solution is easy. You just need to reduce your dose.
  • If you are allergic to seafood, viviscal is not suitable for it.
  • It contains Amino acids derived from marine life, so it is not suitable vegetarians.
  • Like Hairfinity, it may cause stomach issues such as nausea, diarrhea, bloating, pain, etc. These are temporary issues.

Hairfinity vs Viviscal: Final Thoughts

As mentioned above, both these hair growth supplements are clinically proven to deliver result, provided you follow the recommended dosage and if the hair loss is not a sign of any underlying disease. Viviscal contains marine byproduct and is little expensive as compared to Hairfinity. So, if you are a vegetarian or if you are on a tight budget, you can buy Hairfinity. However, we would like to leave the choice on you as both of them are effective and safe.
